Why do we get aged??

18 vs  81

A JOYFUL SPRITE IS ALWAYS YOUNG.

At the biological level, aging results from the impact of the agglomeration of a wide variety of molecular and cellular damage over time.

Types of aging

Aging is governed by two factors. Intrinsic and Extrinsic

Intrinsic aging is an inevitable physiological process that results in thin, dry skin, fine wrinkles, and gradual dermal atrophy, while extrinsic aging is engendered by external environmental factors such as air pollution, smoking, poor nutrition, etc,

Health is the most valuable thing we have in life, but we tend to forget that until we lose it.

 Valid theories on aging

The genetic theory of aging

Under this theory aging primarily depends on our genome.
  • Telomere theory. telomers protect the ends of your chromosomes, as they multiply over time, telomeres shorten, the cell stops dividing and becomes Senescent cells.
  • Programmed senescence theory. Cellular senescence occurs when cells stop dividing and growing but don’t die, eventually causing aging.
  • Stem cell theory.  stem cells can turn into other cells, which helps repair tissue and organs. But the function of stem cells declines over time, predominantly contributing to aging.

Programmed theories of aging

  • Endocrine theory. According to this theory, aging is caused by changes in hormones produced by the endocrine system.
  • Immunological theory. Also called the autoimmune theory, in accordance to this immune response is designed to decline, eventually unable to differentiate self and non-self cells.
  • Free radical theory. This theory suggests that aging is due to the buildup of oxidative stress, caused by free radicals.

 Chucklesome talks

EVERYBODY wants to become an adult but nobody wants to be old.

Think of Greek mythology THTHONUS for example, Thithonus was the lover of the goddess Eos. She realized that her beloved Tithonus was destined to age and die. She begged Zeus to grant her lover immortal life so that they can spend eternity together, however she forgot to specifically ask for eternal youth. Tithonus was granted eternal life, but he kept aging unable to die.

IS there any way to cure aging??

Cells are made of billions of parts, they are the structures, machines, messages, and catalysts that make reactions happen. all this has to be replaced at regular intervals. As we grow older this process gets less effective and so parts become crumpled or removed slower. one of these parts is NAD+ a coenzyme that asks the cell to look after themselves
At age 50, we only have about half as much in our body as we do at age 20.
sadly NAD+ cannot enter the cell, so we cannot take it as a pill. But scientists noticed that other more flexible substances could enter cells and would then turn into an NAD+ inside.

Takeaway

Aging is likely caused by a combination of reasons. Some theories suggest cells have a predetermined lifespan, while others claim it’s due to genetic, evolution, or biochemical reactions.

Aging is normal, but following a healthy lifestyle may help you live longer. Habits like eating well, exercising regularly, and controlling stress & anger can reduce your risk of disease and improve your quality of life.

It matters not how long we live but how." - Philip James Bailey
